An organic electroluminescence element comprising at least a first light reflecting layer (2), a first transparent electrode (3), an organic light emitting layer (4), a second transparent electrode (5), and a second light reflecting layer (6) that are formed sequentially on a substrate (1), wherein at least one of the first light reflecting layer (2) and the second light reflecting layer (6) is translucent. An incident light (A) is reflected between the first and second light reflecting layers (2, 6) and subjected to light interference effect before a reflected light (B) leaves the translucent second light reflecting layer (6). Spectrum of the reflected light (B) can have a sharp peak of a specified value by adjusting the optical path length between the first and second light reflecting layers (2, 6).
