A vehicle handsfree system using a headset of a mobile terminal, a mobile terminal having a vehicle handsfree function using a headset, and a vehicle handsfree processing method using a headset of a mobile terminal are provided to provide a handsfree function with good sound quality by using an external speaker separately from an internal speaker of a mobile terminal. A call mode setting unit(110) sets a general call mode or a headset handsfree call mode. When call is connected, a headset connection detecting unit(120) detects whether a headset is connected with a mobile terminal. A call path controller(130) outputs a control signal to switch a call path to a call mode set by the call mode setting unit(110) and the general call mode or the headset handsfree call mode according to whether or not the headset is connected as detected by the headset connection detecting unit(120).
