METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF HYDROGELS FOR WOUND DRESSING USING RADIATION IRRADIATION

A preparation method of hydrogels for wound dressing using radiation irradiation is provided to restrain evaporation of moisture, to absorb leachate properly, to make the strength of gel excellent and to prevent infection from bacteria. The preparation method of hydrogels for wound dressing using radiation irradiation includes the steps of: forming preliminary hydrogels by dissolving biocompatible polymer and polyhydric alcohol in distilled water and freezing and thawing the aqueous solution of the biocompatible polymer; applying and drying the aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol on polymer film, non-woven fiber or fiber; compressing preliminary hydrogels on the polymer film, non-woven fiber or fiber coated with polyvinyl alcohol; and packing the compressed hydrogels by using packaging material and irradiating radiation.
