A method for supplying a user's own sound source service and a system therefor are provided to enable a caller to know a circumstance where a user does not answer the phone by listening to a voice announcement, when the user of a mobile communication terminal sets a sound source service, while special effect and background music can be added to the voice announcement. A voice service server(240) assigns a storage area for a voice mail box, receives a voice message from an originating mobile communication terminal(210) to store the received message, and transmits a voice announcement set by a receiving mobile communication terminal(212) to the originating terminal(210) if a request for a voice mail box service is received from the originating terminal(210). A sound source server(260) receives a text-type state message from an HLR(Home Location Register)(272), and converts the received message into the voice announcement. An SMSC(Short Message Service Center)(250) transmits an SMS message to the HLR(272) if a receiving number of the SMS message is a special number.
