A method for making an upper plate of a plasma display panel is provided to enhance productivity by forming an electrode of the plasma display panel without using a photo mask. A bus electrode material including a photosensitive component is laminated on a transparent electrode(290a) formed on an upper panel. The bus electrode material is patterned by irradiating laser beams(340) on the bus electrode material. The laser beam irradiation process includes a process for adjusting a light path of a laser beam source(300) by using a projection lens(330) and a process for irradiating the laser beams on the bus electrode material corresponding to a bus electrode forming part.
