A piston head for a hydraulic injection molding machine is provided to prevent concentration of stress on screw portions of a tie rod and a piston head, and reduce costs by reducing the diameter of a substrate for manufacturing the tie rod. A piston head(100) for a hydraulic injection molding machine comprises a second screw portion(12) formed at an inner surface of a hollow portion of the piston head so that the second screw portion is engaged with a first screw portion(22) formed on an outer surface of a tie rod(20). An inlet groove(40) having a predetermined shape is formed on the inner surface of the second screw portion. The inlet groove is formed in front of the second screw portion.
