A display device and a light source driving unit are provided to speedily and accurately detect short circuit by using a voltage from a light emitting diode array. A first voltage divider is connected to a first light source(960). A second voltage divider is connected to a second light source. A state detector(970) outputs a detection signal corresponding to an operation state of the first or source light source using a difference of the first and second voltages applied from the first and second voltage dividers. The first and second light sources are light emitting diodes(961). The first and second light sources emits one of red, green and blue light. The first and second voltage dividers each include at least two resistances connected in series. |
