A mobile communication terminal for exchanging bookmark location data and a method using the terminal are provided to enable users to mutually exchange personal bookmark location data by using mobile communication terminals capable of conducting short-range communication, therefore the users can more conveniently use location information of corresponding regions. A signal for executing a bookmark application is received(S400). ID information of a mobile communication terminal capable of performing short-range communication is detected to use bookmark information(S401,S402). Bookmark location information is requested with the detected terminal(S403). Registered bookmark map data is received from the terminal(S404).
