摘要 A method for manufacturing an air cleaner filter with water repelling performance, a method for manufacturing an air cleaner that is economically feasible by minimizing the cost required in a process of imparting water repelling performance to the air cleaner, and an air cleaner filter which prevents a filter media for the air cleaner itself from absorbing water, and minimizes permeation resistance due to moisture to prevent performance deterioration of the air cleaner filter although the air cleaner filter is exposed to moisture by maximizing water repelling performance of the filter media are provided. The filter media for an automobile air cleaner is manufactured by sequentially laying-up 40 wt.% of a dense layer comprising 98.5 to 99.9 wt.% of PET fibers with 1 to 1.5 denier and 0.1 to 1.5 wt.% of a fluorine-based water repellent obtained through a spray process and a heat setting process, 30 wt.% of an intermediate layer comprising 100 wt.% of PET fibers with 2 to 4 deniers, and 30 wt.% of a bulky layer comprising 25 to 55 wt.% of PET fibers with 3 to 7 deniers and 45 to 75 wt.% of hydrophobic polypropylene fibers with 6 to 7 deniers, and needle-punching the dense layer, the intermediate layer and the bulky layer. The fluorine-based water repellent is water-soluble. A manufacturing method of a filter media for an automobile air cleaner comprises the steps of carding a thermoplastic fiber bundle to form a web with a density gradient; and needle-punching the web, wherein the web forming step comprises a step of mixing 1 wt.% of water repellent with 99 wt.% of water and coating the mixture by a spray to form a dense layer, and instantaneously passing the dense layer through a surface processing machine to evaporate water and leave the water repellent alone, and wherein the surface processing machine comprises five heat press rolls including a first heat press roll with a temperature of 120 to 160 deg.C, a second heat press roll with a temperature of 160 to 180 deg.C, a third heat press roll with a temperature of 65 to 75 deg.C to function as a cooling zone, a fourth heat press roll with a temperature of 260 to 280 deg.C, and a fifth heat press roll with a temperature of 120 to 180 deg.C.
