A rotary locking apparatus of a door in a drum washing machine is provided to check locking of the door easily and simply by displaying the opening state of the door with a driving contact unit and a locking contact unit, to improve safety by locking the door during washing, and to decrease malfunction by simplifying structure. A rotary locking apparatus of a door in a drum washing machine includes a lock housing installed at a laundry inlet, and a latch(500) installed in the door and provided with a fitting groove inserted or displaced from the lock housing so as to open or close the laundry inlet. The lock housing has a driving unit(A) having a solenoid, a rod for interlocking with the solenoid and a variable member combined with the rod, a driving contact unit(B) having a contact point member including a set of two contact terminals and displaying state of the driving unit by contacting the point in displacing the variable member, a locking unit(C) having a locker including a locking projection turned by receiving pressure from the latch so as to fix the fitting groove and a turn control projection insertion groove in which the variable member is inserted, and a locking contact unit(D) for indicating the opening state of the door and the operation state of the locking unit on a display unit with a contact switch having two contact points disconnected by pressure of the door. The driving unit is installed perpendicularly to the driving contact unit in a driving housing, and an opening part is formed in the driving housing. The locking unit is installed in a locking housing, and the locking contact unit is mounted in a locking contact unit housing.
