<p>A paper guide device, an image forming apparatus with the paper guide device, and a paper guide method are provided to automatically align and fix paper onto a paper-feeding tray to improve printing quality. A paper guide device(120) of an image forming apparatus includes at least one paper guide(122), a guide transfer unit(152), and a position controller(129). The paper guide is movably set on a paper-feeding tray(110), aligns and fixes paper. The guide transfer unit transfers the paper guide. The position controller controls the operation of the guide transfer unit, detects the position of the paper guide and controls the stop position of the paper guide based on the detected position of the paper guide. The guide transfer unit includes a motor(153), a pinion(157), and a rack(155) connected to the paper guide to transfer the rotating force of the pinion to the paper guide and engaged with the pinion.</p> |
