A method for controlling voice volume by using an asynchronous HDLC in a mobile communication terminal is provided to adjust and process the voice volume between the mobile communication terminal and a communication module with a message using an asynchronous HDLC method, thereby improving reaction rate. A method for controlling voice volume by using an asynchronous HDLC(High-level Data Link Control procedure) in a mobile communication terminal comprises the followings: transmitting a message for requesting current volume information to a communication module processing a call through an asynchronous HDLC protocol in a user interface if the mobile communication terminal selects a menu in order to control volume(S80,S82); receiving the message from the communication module and reading the current volume information, and providing the current volume information to the user interface through the asynchronous HDLC protocol(S84); displaying the current volume information on the screen unit of the mobile communication terminal in the user interface(S86); transmitting the volume adjustment request message to the communication module if the user presses a button to control the volume(S88,S90); and enabling the communication module to control the volume by the volume adjustment request message and to provide a response message(S92,S94). |
