The invention pertains to building industry and its aim is to increase an efficiency of rotary agitator and to improve the quality of concrete mix. The offered concrete agitator consists of two, located in mutual opposition and hinged by horizontal pivots (3, 4, 5, 6) with possibility to turn the housings (1, 2) in the directions indicated by arrows A and B. The lay shafts (7, 8) are arranged in housings (1, 2), the curved blading is mounted on the said shafts as a system left-hand and right-hand spiral blades (10, 11, 12, 13) by help of radial supports (9). The distance between shafts (7, 8) is chosen such that, when they are rotating, the action zones of spiral blading systems overlap one another. In addition, the spiral blades having the equal directions of spirals are placed along the diagonals of concrete agitator. The shafts (7, 8) have provided with chain gears (14, 15), driven sprockets of which have mounted on shafts (7, 8), but the driving sprockets on the outgoing axles of toothed gear (16) thus providing the rotatation of chain gears (14, 15) in mutually opposite directions by reduction gear (17), as well as rotation of shafts (7, 8) in the directions indicated by arrows C and D. The axles of driving sprockets of chain gears (14, 15) coincide with respective geometrical axis of horizontal pivots (3, 4, 5, 6), but the casings (1, 2) have connected with a rod (24) of hydro-cylinder (23) by help of pivots (18, 19, 20) and rods (21, 22), and in working condition they are in touch in the plane E. By turnig the casings (1, 2) in the directions indicated by arrows A and B, the agitator can be discharged in very short time, but the overlapping of action zones of spiral blades (10, 11, 12, 13) oriented in the same directions increase the homogenity of concrete mix and reduce the mixing time.
