An RF reader type portable phone is provided to enable the control unit of an RF reader to control and manage an RF reader interface, equipped with the RF reader, and enable the RF reader to read information from at least one RF tag or write the information to the RF tag, thereby directly controlling an RF reader function and easily ensuring space for having the RF reader function. An RF(Radio Frequency) reader type portable phone(100) comprises the followings: a wireless processing unit(115); a voice processing unit(120); a screen output unit(130); a memory unit(125); a key input unit(135); and a control unit(105) which is connected to an RF reader(145) through a data bus and receives an information(or data) reception signal through the data bus from the RF reader(145) when the RF reader(145) receives predetermined information(or data) from an RF tag, and controls the screen output unit(130) to output information(or data) reception information on a screen through the screen output unit(130).
