A dome type infrared monitor camera is provided to obtain normal images by blocking light reflected by a dome cover and inputted to a lens. A dome type infrared monitor camera includes a fixed case(2), a camera module(4) rotatably set at an opened face of the fixed case, a support for supporting the camera module at both sides of the camera module, and an infrared emitting diode(12) located in front of the camera module to emit infrared rays. The infrared monitor camera further includes a dome cover(14) which is combined with the fixed case and has a transparent supervisory window(14a) for transmitting the light generated from the infrared emitting diode, and an infrared reflection preventing unit(16) located in front of the camera module. The infrared reflection preventing unit is operated so that the camera module adheres to the supervisory window of the dome cover irrespective of the angle of the camera module to prevent reflection of infrared rays.
