An interior decoration material FMH installation apparatus for an automobile is provided to have enough space and to avoid the duplication of production lines by selectively installing a rib-type FMH or a form-type FMH in the same production line. An interior decoration material FMH(Free Motion Head-form) installation apparatus for an automobile comprises a body(101) rotatably connected to a first driving unit(100); a rotator(102) moved together with the body by the drive of the first driving; a placing plate(105) escalated by the drive of a second driving unit(103) mounted in the rotator, and installed to support a rib-type FMH(104) adhered to a headliner(106); a combining hole formed at the placing plate to be corresponded to a fixing pin mounted in the rib-type FMH, so as to prevent the installation position of the rib-type FMH from being scattered; and a detecting peace identifying a specification of the rib-type FMH according to the combination of a hetero combination prevention pin formed in the rib-type FMH so as to prohibit the rib-type FMH from being two-kinds-assembled to the headliner.
