A pedestrian sensing system is provided to accurately and quickly detect a pedestrian by detecting the variation of an impact applied on a frame or a bumper at collisions. A sensor unit includes a housing where a mounting hole(111) is formed. The housing is installed on a frame or a bumper of a vehicle by using the mounting hole. A metal plate(120), a permanent magnet(130), a silicon joint(140), and a hall sensor(150) are included in the housing. A vibration, which is generated due to collisions, is delivered to the metal plate. The permanent magnet is formed on the metal plate. The silicon joint fixes the metal plate and the permanent magnet and varies a relative position of the metal plate with respect to the permanent magnet. The hall sensor is arranged to be apart from the permanent magnet and the silicon joint by a predetermined distance and detects a varying magnetic flux from the permanent magnet according to the position variation of the permanent magnet due to collisions. |
