<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic device, and its manufacturing method, capable of easily changing layout of a through hole so provided as to penetrate a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The photovoltaic device comprises a substrate 10 comprising through holes 12A and 12B, a solar battery cell 50 formed on the upper surface of the substrate 10, a connection electrode 18A which is electrically connected to the solar battery cell 50 and extends as far as the rear surface of the substrate 10 by way of the through hole 12A, and a connection electrode 18B which is electrically connected to the solar battery cell 50 and extends as far as the rear surface of the substrate 10 by way of the through hole 12B.
