PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter capable of checking the present value of gas pressure easily. SOLUTION: In the gas meter including a pressure measuring means 6 for measuring the gas pressure, an inspection data storage means 5 for memorizing the inspection data, a communication means 2, a displaying means 7, and a controlling means 8, when demand of the inspection data from external instruments 10 is received through the aforementioned communication means 2, the aforementioned controlling means 8, while sending back the inspection data memorized in the aforementioned inspection data storage means 5 to the aforementioned external instruments 10 through the aforementioned communication means 2 responding to the receipt of a message, indicates measurement of the present gas pressure to the aforementioned pressure measuring means 6 and controls the aforementioned displaying means 7 so as to display the measured present gas pressure value.
