An image display apparatus capable of displaying information about the result after auto adjustment and an auto adjustment result display method thereof are provided to enable a CPU to control an auto adjustment unit to adjust a video corresponding to an inputted PC(Personal Computer) signal and control an adjustment determination unit to determine and analyze the auto adjustment result, thereby checking a changed value when the auto adjustment is succeeded without a complicated process, and grasping the cause of failure when the auto adjustment is failed. An image display apparatus comprises the followings: an auto adjustment unit(310) which automatically adjusts an adjustment parameter of a video signal inputted from the outside; an adjustment determination unit(320) which determines whether to succeed in the auto adjustment of the video signal and analyzes the cause of failure of the adjustment parameter when the auto adjustment is failed; and a CPU(Central Processing Unit)(340) which displays the cause of failure of the adjustment parameter, analyzed by the adjustment determination unit(320), when the auto adjustment is failed. The adjustment determination unit(320) analyzes a change value of the adjustment parameter and the CPU(340) displays the analyzed change value in case of success of the adjustment.
