A wireless communication terminal having a DMB reception function and a method thereof are provided to enable a controller to extract a scene plot signal from TS data and form a scene, thereby reducing production costs and simplifying a production process. A wireless communication terminal having a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) reception function comprises the followings: a tuner(21) which selects a broadcast signal of a specific channel from an RF(Radio Frequency) broadcast signal, received through an antenna, and outputs a broadcast signal of an IF(Intermediate Frequency); a decoder(22) which outputs TS(Transport Stream) data by decoding and multiplexing the IF broadcast signal outputted in the tuner(21); and a controller(23) which extracts a scene plot signal from the TS data, outputted from the decoder(22), forms a scene, and controls each component.
