摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict slip-down of a vehicle in starting or traveling on a slope, and smoothly perform starting or traveling on the slope. <P>SOLUTION: In starting on the slope or in traveling at low speed on the slope, driving force against road surface gradient &theta;fr is set as counter-gradient speed N&theta; to be outputted from an engine (S110), and a low &mu; road correcting speed Nlow based on determination of a low &mu; road, differential speed correcting speed Nv based on car speed V, and brake correction speed Nb based on brake pressure Pb are set (S120-S250). Target engine speed Ne* is set based on them (S260), and target throttle opening THtag is set (S270). Between the target throttle opening THtag and demand throttle opening THreq based on accelerator opening ACC, the larger one is used for the operation control of the engine (S290).
