<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can prevent a battery surface temperature from rising excessively and is extremely high in security, even when a large foreign object like a nail sticks in the secondary battery and applies a stress on the secondary battery to cause a short circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode which places a mix layer including a lithium composite oxide, a binding agent, and a conductive agent on the surface of an aluminum collector, where a layer including a thermal resistant insulator with a thermal resistance of 300°C or more is placed between the mix layer and a collector of the positive electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
