PIGMENT DISPERSION FOR INKJET, ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND INKJET INK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black pigment dispersion which has excellent chroma, high image density, jetting stability and dispersion stability and a technology related to the pigment dispersion and the inkjet ink using it.

SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion for inkjet composed at least of a pigment, a dispersing agent and water. The average particle size (D50) of the pigment is ≥130 nm and ≤20 nm. The standard deviation of the particle size distribution of the pigment particle is smaller than the average particle size (D50). The manufacturing process of the pigment dispersion comprises dispersing the pigment with a media mill and then re-dispersing it with a media-less mill.
