ENCODING/DECODING METHOD AND APPARATUS TO IMPLEMENT LOCAL THREE-DIMENSIONAL VIDEO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding/decoding method and apparatus to implement local three-dimensional video.

SOLUTION: A first video stream is decoded to generate 2D video data for two-dimensionally displaying video content and a second video stream is decoded to generate 3D video data for three-dimensionally displaying at least one part of the display section of the video content. Thus, only the partial section to be intensified by a video content creator in the display section of the video content is three-dimensionally displayed, thereby giving a strong impression on the partial section to a viewer of the video content.
