IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OUTPUTTING NUMBER OF OPERATING TIMES OF CONSUMABLE COMPONENTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique to automatically output the number of operation times of consumable components without depending on operation by an operator as technique for outputting the number of operating times of the consumables in an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus equipped with a counter for counting the number of operation times of the consumables, the time when the value of the number of operating times of the consumable components is output is stored, in advance, and the time is measured. Whether the measured time is over the set time is judged. When it is decided that it is over the set time, the value of the counted number of operation times of the consumables is output.
