<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for staining and destaining a gel, which includes destaining a dye in the gel by using an electrophoresis. <P>SOLUTION: The method for staining and destaining the gel includes: a staining step of staining the gel by using an acid aqueous solution that contains the dye and does not contain alcohol; and a destaining step of destaining the dye by the electrophoresis by applying a voltage to the gel disposed in an acid aqueous solution that does not contain alcohol. The method for staining and destaining the gel is preferably used especially for staining and destaining CCB in the gel after the electrophoresis that processes proteins. The destaining step can be conducted by using, for example, an electrophoresis destaining device 10 including: a body vessel 1; a pair of electrodes 2; and a gel container 3, wherein the pair of the electrodes 2 and the gel container 3 disposed between the electrodes 2 are arranged in parallel to each other in the body vessel 1 along a spacer 4 of the body vessel 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
