PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a substrate with high reliability capable of attaching an irregularity prevention cover with an aperture easily to a circuit board by preventing the side face of a housing from protruding to the outside of a face extending in perpendicular direction from the outline of the bottom face, and capable of preventing the occurrence of a gap between the aperture of the irregularity prevention cover and the lower end edge of the side face of the housing. SOLUTION: The connector is provided which has a housing to be engaged with a mating connector, and a terminal member which is mounted on the housing and contacts the terminal member of the mating connector and is connected to the circuit board. The housing has a bottom face opposed to the circuit board and a side face standing from the bottom face and the side face does not have a portion protruding to the outside of a face extending in the perpendicular direction to the bottom face from the outline of the bottom face.
