<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing controller which optimizes the period of disabling avoidance of pinching during the reverse movement of a movable plate, in individual opening/closing units. <P>SOLUTION: This unit (300) for controlling the opening/closing unit (200), which reciprocates the movable plate (102) while avoiding the pinching of foreign matter between an opening-closed position and an opening-opened position, comprises: a disabling means (302) for disabling the avoidance of the pinching at the initial stage of the movement of the movable plate in an opposite direction after the movable plate moves in one direction; and a setting means (302) for setting the period, when the avoidance of the pinching is disabled, through learning.
