摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily manufacturing an illumination device capable of improving availability of light, confining a viewing angle at the same time and, moreover, preventing the device from being made larger size and thicker in thickness, at low cost, and an electrooptical apparatus using the illumination device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the illumination device 100L comprises: a step of forming a viewing angle confining layer 121 provided with a cross-section structure in which light-shielding materials are repeatedly arranged with an interval in the plane-directional view; a step of forming an optical sheet 120 by laminating a light condensing layer 122 provided with prism structures 122a which are arranged on corresponding planar ranges respectively between the light-shielding materials of the viewing angle confining layer on the viewing angle confining layer; and a step of arranging the optical sheet on the light emission surface of a surface light emitter 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
