PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of busy states while a wireless intercom and a cordless telephone are operable independently, even when an outside call of the cordless telephone or extension communication and a call of the wireless intercom occur simultaneously, and to reduce deterioration in the communication quality even when notification of the respective calls is available and a subordinate station communicates with any control station. SOLUTION: The wireless communication system comprises: the cordless telephone 3; the wireless intercom 2; and a wireless slave machine 4 in which the control station and the subordinate station communicate with each other by using a time-division communication method. The cordless telephone 3 operates as the control station, whereas the wireless intercom 2 operates as the subordinate station in the communication with the cordless telephone 3, and operates as the control station in the communication with the wireless slave machine 4.
