PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing unnecessary power consumption, improving uniformity in operation characteristics, and for reducing development costs, relating to a semiconductor device for tuners and diversity receivers. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device for a tuner comprises a means for selecting whether a local oscillation signal is generated inside or it is introduced from outside, and a means for controlling power consumption of the circuit generating the local oscillation signal. A diversity receiver constituting it comprises a semiconductor device 1 having selected to generate the local oscillation signal inside, and a semiconductor device 2 having selected to introduce the local oscillation signal from outside. The local oscillation signal of the semiconductor device 2 is driven by the local oscillation signal of the semiconductor device 1. Consequently, unnecessary power consumption is reduced in the circuit generating the local oscillation signal of the semiconductor device 2.
