PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment provided with a key lock cancellation function which a user can use intuitively. SOLUTION: When a key provided for a remote controller 6 for operating the electronic equipment 1 is locked, and the user presses the key, an OSD which is stored in a non-volatile memory 7 and which reports key locking is displayed to a display part 9, and by pressing the same key again before the lock notification OSD is stopped, the OSD which is stored in the non-volatile memory and indicates a cancellation procedure is displayed to the display part. Before the cancellation procedure OSD is stopped, the key locking can be canceled by operating the remote controller 6 in the procedure indicated by the cancellation procedure OSD.
