PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating unit provided with a light-heat converter in which a plate-like member is held by a holding body in the state where a heat transfer amount to a reinforcing member is minimized regardless of the direction of a device to be provided with the heating unit, and which prevents the plate-like member from being deformed or the like due to its self weight. SOLUTION: The heating unit heats an object to be heated by the radiation from the irradiated light-heat converter after subjecting the light-heat converter to be irradiated with a light source. The light-heat converter is composed of: the optically transparent holding body; the plate-like member arranged on the holding body and generating heat by absorbing the light transmitting the holding body from the light source; and an air gap layer formed between the holding body and the plate-like member by covering a recess provided to the holding body with the plate-like member.
