PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress adhesion of contaminant in an incident end face of an optical fiber, in an optical module condensing light from a light source to the optical fiber and making the light incident thereon. SOLUTION: In the light source module 100 provided with the light source 1, the optical fiber 9 making the light incident from the incident end and emitting the light from an emission end, and a condensing lens 6 condensing the light emitted from the light source 1 and condensing the light on the incident end face of the optical fiber 9, the incident end face of the optical fiber 9 and glass 8 are fused by a heat treatment so as to be joined.
