PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase cooling performance in normal operation while effectively preventing a suction reverse flow from occurring near the downstream side rotating center of an axial fan by a simple structure in a cooling device and a cooling device of a work machine. SOLUTION: This cooling device comprises the axial fan 1 having a vane fixing part 1a driven by a rotating drive source and vanes 1b roughly radially extended from its outer peripheral surface to the outside and flowing cooling air, an object (2) to be cooled by the cooling air, and a straightening member 5 disposed on the downstream side of the cooling fan more than the axial fan 1 near the outer peripheral surface of the vane fixing part 1a. The straightening member 5 is disposed in a direction that is along the cooling air discharged from the axial fan 1 and that stops the reverse flow occurring near the downstream side rotating center part of the axial fan 1 when the axial fan 1 is stalled.
