PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass element-shaping mold capable of easily and reliably demolding a glass optical element. SOLUTION: The glass element-shaping mold 1 is equipped with an inner mold 18 having a first shaping face 18a for forming the optical face of a glass optical element and the optically effective face of the glass optical element and an outer mold 19 having a second shaping face 19a which surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the inner mold and forms the face continuously extending from the optically effective face of the glass optical element. By making the linear expansion coefficient (α2) of the outer mold smaller than that (α1) of the inner mold, a molded glass optical element is easily and reliably demolded by difference of shrinkages caused by difference of temperatures.
