PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooking food comprising preventing frozen food from browning when thawed. SOLUTION: The method for cooking food comprises the following process: a process of freezing food (S206-S210); and a process of raising the temperature of the food up to an enzyme deactivation temperature at which enzyme browning the food is deactivated (S201-S205) which is performed prior to the freezing process.
