<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle signal recording and reproducing apparatus recording a broadcast signal and compressing a video signal around a vehicle and recording the compressed video signal synchronously with the broadcast signal, and uncompressing the compressed video signal and synchronously reproducing the uncompressed video signal with the recorded broadcast signal. <P>SOLUTION: A recording section 40 records a broadcast signal AD-converted by an AD conversion section 10, the video signal around the vehicle digitized and compressed by a recording image processing section 20, and a synchronizing signal of the broadcast signal and the video signal.
