<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve driving feeling at the occurrence of slippage. <P>SOLUTION: In an automobile comprising an engine capable of outputting power to a front shaft and a motor capable of outputting power to a rear shaft using power generated from an alternator mounted on the engine, for slippage in the front shaft, slip suppressing control of controlling the engine and the motor while restricting a front torque instruction Tf* outputted to the front shaft so that the slip ratio is a permittable slip ratio λref and setting the deficiency of torque to a requested torque Tdrv* to a rear torque instruction Tr* is executed, and when the driver does not perform returning operation of an accelerator pedal or the like and requests steady traveling at a further large slip ratio during execution of the slip suppressing control, the tolerable slip ratio λref is changed to the increasing direction.
