PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a waste ink absorber to be efficiently used even when using two or more kinds of liquid with different characteristics. SOLUTION: A recovery apparatus 7 is installed in the position that counters with the ink discharging port of a recording head 5 in a predetermined position while being located beneath a recording paper 6. The first waste-liquid introduction portion 2 for introducing the waste liquid originating in the first ink whose diffusion rate to the waste ink absorber 1 is relatively small to the magazine of the waste ink absorber 1 and the second waste liquid introduction portion 3 for introducing the waste liquid originating in the second ink whose diffusion rate to the waste ink absorber 1 is relatively small to the magazine of the waste ink absorber 1 are connected to the recovery apparatus 7 with a piping. The introduction end of the first waste liquid introduction portion 2 to the waste ink absorber 1 is located in the position higher than the one of the introduction end of the second waste liquid introduction portion 3 to the waste ink absorber 1.
