PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stopping at a correct position by correcting an amount of backlash of an apparatus mechanism system in a printer apparatus which carries out the preparatory action of printing by operating a gear-coupled mechanism device up and down or right and left. SOLUTION: In the printer apparatus which carries out feeding of ink to an ink tank (sub tank) set at a recording head, and the recovery operation for head nozzles by operating the gear-coupled mechanism device up and down or right and left, the amount of backlash of the apparatus mechanism system is calculated from a difference between a movement amount when the system is stopped after passing a home position sensor, and a movement amount before the system passes the home position after driving in the opposite direction from a stop position. The operation of the next time and afterwards is corrected by utilizing the calculated amount. Thus even the apparatus with the large amount of backlash at the apparatus mechanism system carries out the moving operation to the correct position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
