PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on labor charged on a worker in undertaking application by the suction and discharge of the viscous material having a high viscosity like a sealing material, and to prevent a residual discharge to aim an improvement in operability. SOLUTION: An electric motor-driven type sucking-discharging device comprising a body portion (2) and a cylinder (3) carries out both of the suction and discharge operation of the viscous material by an electric operation. The body portion (2) has a rod (8), a piston (9) combined with the rod, and an electric motor (4) working up a movement of the rod. The rod moves the piston in a direction sucking the viscous material into the cylinder, and in a direction discharging the viscous material outside the cylinder. Such a switching of the moving direction of the piston is carried out by reversing a rotative direction of the motor with the formation of a closed circuit containing a battery (23) and the motor by an electric circuit provided on the body portion, and with the switching of orientation in the connection of the battery and the motor through a selector switch (S1).
