PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the simplification of constitution and miniaturization in size and to reduce space required for video projection. SOLUTION: The projection system includes: a projector 2 to emit light; and a video display device to display a video based on light emitted from the projector 2. The projector 2 includes: a light source to emit light; a light condensing body to condense the light emitted from the light source; a liquid crystal display part to modulate the light emitted from the light condensing body; and a composing part composing the light beams passing through the liquid crystal display part. The video display device includes: a screen 1 provided with the projector 2 at its back; a concave mirror 3 to condense the light beams emitted from the projector 2; a reflection mirror 4 to reflect the light condensed by the concave mirror 3 to the front side from the back side of the screen 1; and a convex mirror 5 diffusing and projecting the light reflected by the reflection mirror 4 to the screen 1.
