PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of calculating PRO, a method of calculating a PRO compensation value and a recording medium. SOLUTION: The method of calculating PRO which is repeatable runout acting on a disk with tracks includes: a process of calculating the first set of frequency coefficients for representing the PRO by analyzing a position error signal (PES), which is sampled in a target track, in a frequency domain while a head follows the target track; and a process of calculating the PRO on the basis of the first set of frequency coefficients.
