PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing/erasing method, an erasing method, and a recording/reproducing/erasing apparatus for an information recording medium using a material causing photoinduced phase transition in a recording layer. SOLUTION: Recording is performed using a first wavelength energy line for the information recording medium provided with a recording layer containing the material causing photoinduced phase transition on a substrate, reproduction is performed using a second wavelength energy line being different from that during recording, the information recording medium is heated and erasure is performed.
