PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate cutting work of tag pins when removing a protection mat from a carpet. SOLUTION: When carrying a carpet 3 to be installed on a floor in a vehicle cabin of an automobile into a vehicle cabin, the protection mat 5 is fixed on the surface of the carpet 3 with the tag pins 9. When removing the unnecessary protection mat 5 after carrying the carpet 3 into the vehicle cabin, a shaft part 9a of the tag pin 9 is cut by using a tag pin cutting jig 1. The tag pin cutting jig 1 cuts the shaft part 9a with an internally provided rotary cutter after making a locking head part 9b enter inside a tapered part 11 by ascending the locking head part 9b along the inclined face part 23 of the tapered part 11 while inserting the shaft part 9a of the tag pin 9 into a groove part 17. The rotary cutter is rotated along with a rotating roller rotated with the movement of the tag pin cutting jig 1. Cutting chips after the cutting are swept out backwardly by a rotary brush rotating integrally with the rotary cutter and stored in a cutting-chip storage part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
