PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat slide device of a vehicle with a spring member capable of making an occupied space small, and making a difference between energizing forces at the time of locking and unlocking small. SOLUTION: A rod-like spring 11 comprises a first spring part 11a formed at a central part of a rod-like member, and a pair of second spring parts 11b whose portions 11d with rod-like members folded toward inside the first spring part part 11a at both end positions of the first spring part 11a as respective outer ends, and whose tip ends of the rod-like members extended toward the central part as respective inner ends 11e. The first spring 11a comprises a torsion part 11g twisted when an angleθformed by a first arm part 11j and a second arm part 11h becomes small, and the respective inner ends 11e come into contact with the inside of an upper rail, and a hook part 11i comes into contact with a latch lever 8.
