A hollow vertical element (2) connects the mask (1) with a padded forehead support unit (3). Fresh air is guided into the mask (1, 5) from a tube (4) and the air released from the nostrils (19) is blown into a narrow duct (17) at the front of the breathing mask (1). The air is guided through the vertical element (2) and released through an opening at the forehead support (3).
