The hinge for doors, windows and suchlike, has a carrier (6) which comprises two threads (7,8) extending perpendicularly to the hinge axis (S), and hinge sections (4,5) each comprise a mating thread (11,12) which is formed complementary to the threads on the carrier. Locking means are provided by means of which the hinge sections are selectively fixable against rotation in relation to the respective complementary thread. The thread on the carrier is formed by a threaded spigot (9,10) and the complementary thread is a threaded hole.(13,14).
